Design

The padded seat acts as a hinged lid, lifting on its original brass hardware to reveal a neat internal storage compartment ideal for housing small textiles, crafting supplies, or modern accessories. The top is upholstered in a traditional, tight-weave tapestry fabric featuring a classical foliate and floral motif.

With its low-profile 30cm seat height and small footprint, this versatile piece is perfectly scaled to serve as a fireside footstool, a decorative dressing table vanity stool, or a space saving storage seat for smaller interiors.

The condition of the fabric is good with no rips, fading or tears. The external wood is in good condition with a beautiful vintage patina. The inside of the storage compartment has age related wear to the wood which doesn't effect use.
