Design

The backrest features a sweeping curved bar inset with highly figured panels of mahogany veneer, positioned above an elegantly shaped mid-rail. The reeded scroll arms rest on fine, turned baluster supports. The chair stands on sharply turned tapering front legs, balanced by classic sweeping sabre legs to the rear.

The seat is upholstered in a practical, smart black faux leather trimmed with brass patinated studs, offering a stylish contrast to the warm, deep tones of the mahogany frame.

The chair is structurally sound and in lovely condition for its age, with a rich patina.
